LUMC is passionate about outreach! As such, we look forward to being “home away from home” for mission teams from all over. We can host groups of up to 50 in the Underground, our education building’s finished basement.
LUMC is conveniently located close to groceries, casual dining, building suppliers, and medical support (including two 24-hour walk-in clinics within a mile of our facility).
The Kansas City metropolitan area offers a wide variety of opportunities for mission projects. Check out our list of outreach opportunities in the area here!
For entertainment, the KC metro offers major league teams, minor league teams, museums, water parks, roller coasters and live theater and concert venues. We also have tons of green space, including parks, walking trails, and recreational lakes.
We ask our guests for a donation of $10 per person per night’s stay to help with costs. ($100 per night minimum) We look forward to assisting you in being the hands and feet of God in the KC area. You will be our visiting angels!

LUMC wishes to make its facilities available to the community and to outside groups, programs and events whenever possible. We have many rooms, large and small, available to meet in. Contact the church office to book a space for your group.
