Lenexa UMC Devotion

LUMC Devotion My plan was to come into the church office last Friday and complete the final few items on my to do list for the week, including writing this devotion. However, those plans changed when my husband and I got hit by the 24-hour stomach bug going around Thursday night. We spent Friday with two, miserable adults trying to care for a somehow healthy baby. And then my husband ended up at the ER for dehydration. So here I sit in the ER, knowing that I need to still put together a devotion, and seeking words of comfort. I came across this hymn titled Blessed Redeemer by Fanny Crosby. Perhaps it can also provide you comfort wherever you are in your life, but hopefully not in the ER. Blessed Redeemer Blessed Redeemer, full of compassion, Great is Thy mercy, boundless and free; Now in my weakness, seeking Thy favor, Lord, I am coming closer to Thee. Blessed Redeemer, wonderful Savior, Fountain of wisdom, Ancient of Days, Hope of the faithful, Light of all ages, Jesus my Savior, Thee will I praise.
