 Marked for the Journey:

The Season of Lent

Lent  is the season to reflect inward...to consider how it is we are being called along our Christian journey...it is a time to strengthen our faith, challenge our trails as followers as Jesus, and to extend a loving hand to those we meet along the path. Won't you join us on the journey during this season of Lent?

Ways to deepen your personal Lenten journey might include...

Attending Worship Services on Sundays (9 and 10:30). The Lenten sermon series is "Marked for the Journey".

Going to Sunday School (options at 9 and 10:30 for all ages)

Coming to the Wednesday evening Lent study from 7-8pm, February 24 - April 14 (no meeting March 17). We are using the book by Adam Hamilton called, "The 24 Hours that Changed the World". Books are available for $12. Join us anytime!

Taking a personal daily time of prayer and reading the Scriptures. This is the third year our congregation has written its own Lenten Devotion Book, filled with daily readings and Scriptures geared just for the journey to the Easter cross. You can pick up a copy in the office during the week, or on Sundays.

As the Spirit moves you, find a special "missions project"...serve food at a homeless shelter, donate hygiene items to an organization that helps women who have experienced relationship violence, offer to babysit for a friend, pray for the unemployed, call a friend or family member and repair a broken relationship...the opportunities to put our faith into action are endless.

How is the Spirit calling you into action this season?
