DONATE SUPPLIES FOR THE YOUTH
PET SHELTER SERVICE PROJECT!

On September 27, the youth will be making snuffle mats and cat hidies to give to the Great Plains SPCA and we need your help! We need wire hangers, t-shirts, safety pins, fleece material, & rubber sink mats. If you happen to have any of these items or are willing to purchase some, please feel free to drop them off in the church office or contact Teila Creekmore and we can arrange a pickup! Thank you!
SPONSOR A PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Church members are invited to “sponsor a preschool teacher” for this school year. Sponsoring a teacher means committing to praying for them and their class throughout the year and putting together a small care package for them each month. The care package should include an encouraging note and a small treat (about $5 value). Contact Mary Clow to sign up.

DONATE YOUR OLD FURNITURE TO HILLCREST!

As we prepare our Hillcrest apartment for a new resident, there are a few items we need. If you have any of these items you can donate, please contact Denise Smerchek. We currently need a coffee maker with auto shut-off, a kitchen table, and an end table. Thank you to those who have already donated!

ST. MARY’S KITCHEN & HOT LUNCH
Friday, October 2

Our next service is October 2. Due to the virus, the kitchen is closed, and they are serving cold lunches in a bag at the door. These consist of a lunch meat sandwich, chips, fruit or fruit cup, bottle of water, and a dessert. We just have to drop the lunches off at St. Mary’s, and they will pass them out. With all the people out of work and with kids out of school, they have 700-800 people most days so this will be a tremendous challenge for us. We need volunteers that can prepare hopefully 50 lunches each and bring them to the church on the morning of October 2. They will then be transported to St. Mary’s. Please let Tom Bean know if you can help at (913) 888-2446 or threetnkbean@juno.com. We need to know fairly soon if you can so we can be sure we will have enough. Thank you!

“The Greatest Things In Life”
Matthew 3:21–22, 31

Jesus has some revolutionary things to say about family in this passage. First, to know Jesus is to have eternal life. Second, the greatest family is God’s church. Jesus explained that doing the will of the Father is more important than the earthly family. Rev. Ezekiel Koech preaching.
