DOROTHY ROSE BIRTHDAY PARADE
Sunday, May 9 | 12–1 p.m.

Everyone’s favorite energizer bunny, Dorothy Louise Glaettli Rose, is turning 99 on May 7! We would like to celebrate her, in these times of COVID, with a parade of cars, people and signs at LUMC on Mother’s Day. Enter the west parking lot from 91st Terrace. Dorothy will be there with bells on, if you know her. She is very excited about seeing her friends from church, around Lenexa, and her family, and cupcakes will be provided for the guests. It is not a surprise! If you can’t make it, her address is 25200 W 91st St, Lenexa KS 66227 if you want to send a card. Thank you!

MAY 9
MOTHER’S DAY / 6th SUNDAY OF EASTER

“Parenting Children With a Purpose”
Psalm 78:1-6; Mark 10:13-14

Some parents think they need to let their kids make their own decisions about religion, church attendance, Bible study and youth fellowship. But really, what kind of a decision can a five-year-old, nine-year-old, or ten-year-old make? The Bible says we are to teach our children in order that they might have hope in God rather than being beaten down by the chaos of culture.
