WORSHIP for THIS WEEK
JUNE 21
3RD  SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
“Jesus Shows Up In the Midst of Worship”
Mark 5:21-24, Ephesians 6:1-4

The healing of Jairus daughter begins in verse 22. Jairus was a leader of the synagogue. He maintained the building as well as planning activities there. Even with his status and busy schedule, he stills falls at Jesus feet worshiping God, and praying for his daughter. Jesus shows up in the midst of worship.

EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
YOUNG ADULT CONVERSATIONS
Sundays | 10:30 a.m. | The Underground

YAC (Young Adult Conversations) meets every Sunday morning in the Underground. Our conversations tend to center around current events and the role that we play as believers. Just so you know…our young adults are sharp. The “older” YAC facilitators have a front row seat to the bright minds who will be leading our communities very soon. ALL young adults 18 years & older (without kids) are invited to join in the conversations. Cold juices & coffees are provided.
HILLCREST VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Hillcrest thrift store, which benefits Hillcrest Transitional Housing, is currently in need of volunteers to sort out donations. If you can volunteer, please call (913) 808-5360
.
FACEBOOK

During this unprecedented time, we need each other. If you are on Facebook and have not liked the LUMC Facebook page, please do so now. If you a member or regular attendee of Lenexa UMC, we also invite you to join the LenexaUMChurch Family group. This is a place where we can still be in community. We encourage you to share an inspiration, favorite scripture or success. Talk to each other. Be the church.

PRAYERS

Please keep LUMC, the nation, and the world in your prayers during this difficult time. If you have a personal prayer request, contact Pastor Ezekiel or the prayer chain at prayers@lenexaumc.org. If you would like to be added to the confidential email prayer chain to keep your fellow church members in prayer, please sign up here.
FOOD PANTRY

The Johnson County Food Pantry is still serving the vulnerable among us. As more people are impacted by COVID-19, their needs will continue to rise. They welcome all food donations. If you are at the grocery store buying food for your family, we encourage you to pick up a few extra things for the food pantry.
You may drop off your donations at the church during office hours, 9-3, Monday-Friday. Place them in the gray bins at the east entrance.
ONLINE GIVING

During this time, the church still has ongoing expenses. We ask that, if possible, you stay up to date on your giving to the church by mailing in your contribution or by donating online or by text. Follow the link below to give or find out more about the ways you can give!

The June issue of
THE MESSENGER
is available now!

If you usually pick up the Messenger at the church and would like a copy mailed to you, please contact the church office via email or phone.
