Palm Sunday, Easter EGG-Stravaganza, & more this week at LUMC!

Week of March 20, 2018 – In This Issue:

SUNDAY MARCH 25 – Palm Sunday*
“The Same Mind”
Pastor Peggy Hillmon Preaching

We have spent the season of Lent emptying ourselves of those things that would get in the way of the new identity God gives us in Christ. The Apostle Paul invites us to take on the “mind of Christ,” and imitate his actions that God may be glorified in all things.

*During the Lenten season, you might notice scarcity in the pomp and circumstance of worship – this is intentional as we contemplate this season of wandering in the wilderness, and what it means to follow Jesus with our lives.

Operation Eden

OPERATION EDEN UPDATE
Restoring our property

Huge Celebration! We have surpassed our $7,000 goal – and have raised $7,455! This is our final week of receiving gifts to go toward Operation Eden – Lenexa UMC’s Landscaping Campaign. The Property Management Team is looking forward to “sprucing” up the east side of our property.

Please send your gifts toward Operation Eden by Palm Sunday – March 25th in order for the Property Management Team to plan accordingly.

EASTER EGG-STRAVAGANZA NEEDS YOU!
A day for the whole family

March 25th following the Sunday morning services, the Children’s Ministries Team has a fun-day planned for you, your family, and your friends!

Your help is needed to make our community Easter Egg-Stravaganza a success. Please bring individually wrapped candy to the church office to donate. If you can donate food, please sign up in the narthex today or contact Mary Clow. Several more volunteers are also needed the day of the event! Email Mary if you are available.
