OPERATION EDEN UPDATE

Restoring our property

Operation Eden – Lenexa UMC’s Landscaping Campaign – officially launched last week. The Property Management Team is looking forward to “sprucing” up the east side of our property. We are excited to announce that $1,100 was raised during Week 1!

We are asking that all gifts be received by Palm Sunday – March 25, 2018 in order to allow the committee to plan accordingly. View more information in the February edition of The Messenger.

Pulled Pork Paradise

Each week, on Wednesday nights we provide a {FREE} family meal. Join us for pulled pork sandwiches, chips, and a dessert. Invite your neighbors – we love sharing a meal with new friends.

Each Wednesday evening there are a plethora of activities for people of all ages to get involved.

THE UNDERGROUND GATHERING

Cultivating relationships through music, conversation, and reflection.

The Gathering is an alternative experience to the traditional Sunday morning worship service. It is a place where we can meet up and recharge in the middle of the week. The time features live music by the Underground Collective, engaging messages, occasional guest speakers, a time to reflect, and an open discussion where we can share our stories and learn from one another.

Wednesday February 14th – Lenten Craft Fair/ Pancake Feast/Ash Wednesday Service
– Crafts for kids and pancakes in the same room?! Plan to join us for an evening that kicks-off the Lenten season as we journey together toward the cross. Join us for a special Ash Wednesday service in the Sanctuary following our annual Pancake Feast. Service will start at 7pm. Class of 2018 Confirmands will help usher us into the Lenten season.
Sunday March 4th – LUMYouth Chili/Soup Luncheon & Auction – The LUMYouth Chili & Soup Luncheon & Auction is one of our “not to be missed” events. Watch for updates on the list of items that will be sold to the highest bidder. Funds raised at this event will support one full year of LUMYouth Programs and activities.
Sunday July 22nd-Friday July 27th – 2018 Young Adult Challenge – Work Hike Climb, see Lisa Freeman for more information.
