Help for clean up is needed Friday after 6pm and Saturday at 8am.  All items must be boxed up for removal 
by 9am Saturday morning.  
 
Proceeds support our ministry with 
Sunflower Elementary School.
Everyone is encouraged to participate!

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY STARTING
On Tuesday, October 24 at 10:00 am, the  Bible Study Group will begin studying Paul’s Letter to the Galatians. We will plan to meet for one hour in the Wesley Room.  This study will continue each Tuesday (except Nov. 21) through December 12.  Please join us for study, conversation and fellowship as we explore how Paul’s theology, expressed in this short yet powerful letter, shaped Christian understanding in his day as well as our own.

Strengthening Families Program at LUMC
Lenexa UMC is looking to partner with various Johnson County organizations to host a Strengthening Families Program. Strengthening Families is an evidence-based prevention program for parents and children and consists of parenting skills, children’s life skills, and family skills training courses taught together in fourteen sessions. We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping to facilitate the sessions each week (tentatively Wednesday evenings in January-April). If you are interested, or would like more information, please email mary.clow@lenexaumc.org

2017 CHRISTMAS PROGRAM 
 
All are invited to participate in  “Star Trip:  Our Faith Awakes” the 5pm program presented on Christmas Eve.  
If you are interested in acting, reading scripture, helping with costumes and props, etc.,

FAMILY HAYRIDE
Sunday, November 12
5:30pm at Shawnee Mission Park
Enjoy an hour long hayride followed by campfire with marshmallows and apple cider.  
$7 per person (2 and under free)

toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, soap, lotions, diapers-sizes NB, 5, and 6, canned chili, spinach,and pasta (like Chef Boyardee), cereal, vegetable soup, sugar, cereal bars, and popcorn.
Please place your donations in the gray bins outside the church office.
