Adult Sunday School Classes

Adult classes meet at 9 and 10:30am on Sunday Mornings...there is something for everyone!!

9:00 Classes:

Branches

Meeting Time 9am - This group meets in Room 113 and uses Bible-related studies from Cokesbury. Their stimulating lessons explore ways to understand the biblical message and apply it to everyday life, moving from the Word of God to reflection on personal, family, church and community concerns.  Class members share teaching responsibilities, and the class provides support to a foreign missionary.

Foundations

Meeting Time 9am - One of our newest adult classes, Foundations is also one of the most diverse, comprising young marrieds, singles, mid-agers and retired folks. This class meets in Room 119 and is for anyone who is wishing to look at a variety of challenging subjects for short periods of time.

Pathfinders

Meeting Time 9am - This class meets in the Asbury Room (Room 101) and is made up of persons ranging in age from 30's to 60's. Discussions usually center on current events challenging our faith. Class members rotate leadership of class discussions. Social events usually occur monthly, with half of the events involving families and half for adults only.

RPM (Retired People in Motion)

Meeting Time 9:15 AM - Meeting in the Wesley Room, this group of retired adults is an energetic and supportive group. They use the Adult Bible Studies curriculum from Cokesbury. Three teachers alternate months in leading class discussions. On the second Monday of every other month, the class gathers for fellowship at a potluck luncheon at noon in Schneeberger Hall, followed by a program in the Wesley Room.

Spectrum

Meeting Time 9am - A spectrum of Bible study is the focus of this class, made up primarily of the "betwixt and between" generation and many empty nesters! They meet in Room 122 for stimulating discussions. The first Sunday evening of each month they gather in the home of a class member for food and sharing. This class is characterized by "true caring for each other and the world around us. We share our love in the Lord in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health." The class sponsors a great craft and bake sale each fall.

10:30 Classes:

Dashers

Meeting Time 10:30am - The Dashers are filling in that time between birth and death...making each moment count. This lively group uses study materials that challenge participants to grow in their faith journeys, while enjoying fellowship and building friendships! Look for them in the Asbury Room (follow your nose to the coffee)!

Young Adults

Meeting Time 10:30am - The group is for all young adults looking for a place to explore their spiritual journey in a fun, relaxing, supportive environment. Childcare is offered in the Nursery if you need this. This class meets in Room 117. Come check it out!!
